One of the four major royal dynasties of Kerala, the Cochin Royal Family played a significant role in shaping Kerala’s history, both past and present. Day 5
Cochin Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour of Kochi. The bustling port city, situated along the canal-laced shores of the Laccadive Sea, has been a haven for merchants, explorers, pilgrims, and preachers for centuries.

Ancient mosques and synagogues, Portuguese churches and Dutch-style houses, Hindu temples, and Chinese fishing nets all stand as evidence of the city’s diverse past. From artsy cafés to grand hotels and theatres famed for Kathakali, Kerala’s traditional masked dance, experience the city’s vibrant and eclectic charm.

Day 6
Cochin to Calicut (Approx. 4 Hours Drive)

Later, depart for Calicut, also known as Kozhikode. The beautiful city of Calicut came into existence in the 13th century and is believed to be the place where Vasco da Gama first set foot in India on May 27, 1498.

Calicut is enveloped between the tranquil Arabian Sea to the west and the picturesque Wayanad hills to the east, making it a popular tourist destination. En route, make a stop to visit Kodungallur St. Thomas Church. Also known as the Marthoma Pontifical Shrine, it is regarded as the birthplace of Christianity in India and comes under the Muziris Heritage Project. Constructed on the banks of the River Periyar in 1953, the church holds the relic of St. Thomas, a bone from his arm.
